Creative Directions Books

Working with Darts @ The Point, Doncaster as part of the Creative Directions at Home programme I worked with two professional writers, Lydia Allison and Gitika Buttoo to illustrate three books full of creative activities for participants to enjoy at home. The books were delivered to over 50 Creative Directions participants.

Bags of Creativity

IVE worked with Local Cultural Education Partnerships and social services in Bradford, Doncaster, East Riding, Hull, Leeds, Rotherham, Sheffield and York to deliver Bags of Creativity. I was one of the twenty creative practitioners and organisations chosen for Hull and Doncaster to create activities to be included within the bags. The bags were designed to make sure all children and young people can be creative at home by providing everything they need in one place.

Visual Arts Resources

Due to the COVID-19 situation and people having to spend more time at home I have been commissioned to create visual arts resources for galleries such as Darts @ the Point, Doncaster.

Then & Now

For Then & Now I worked with Hinterland Creative, Scarborough Libraries and students from the Pupil Referral Service on a project funded by Libraries Connected. The project began by looking at old photos of Scarborough in the libraries archive. The students took their own present day photographs of Scarborough and merged them with the historical images using GIMP photo editing and manipulation software on the computers at the library. They also created colourful cut and paste collages combining old and new source materials. I then designed a set of pull up banners of the work to be exhibited in various locations around Scarborough.
